It’s been a long journey. What started in June 1997 with a conversation in a small boxing gym in London with a guy with his head in text books and files has brought me to the beautiful Costa Del Sol and all that glitters as a personal trainer in Marbella. I’ve worked in Hollywood with A list stars and VIPs in London.

Now, the hyper-speed digital and chemical saturated age is ravaging mankind and all that is healthy.

We will meet face to face over a herbal tea or coffee. Within minutes, I will have worked out all of the health issues that you need to address personally. There will be time to talk about your objectives, needs, history and life.

This sparks a mental game of health Tetris in my head where I visualise who you will become and how long it will take. Like any journey there will be highs and lows and twists and turns but I guarantee you will achieve everything and more with your health.

Layer after layer of the habits that don’t serve you will be replaced with those that do.

Essentially you hand over the responsibility of your health and wellbeing to me, which for some can take a while and for others will be a relief.

The majority of my clients have been with me for over twenty years. I have quickly become a rock and source of stability for the hectic jetsetters and superstars who lead non-stop lives.

What to expect physically and how workouts are structured

No matter your age or level of fitness, the emphasis during a workout session is to create balance throughout your body. Perfect posture, flexibility, strength and endurance can all be achieved in the same session.

It’s not the content so much as the routine that makes things happen. I worked for ten years with the artist Marc Quinn in London. Marc went from never lifting a weight, never running, never stretching and 32% body fat to a strong, lean, running and now 20% body fat in his 50’s.

His secret, was his consistency. He never missed a session, ever.

And in-between his workouts with me, he did his best to do his homework. His metamorphosis was subtle but constant. It was a permanent healthy and supremely positive change.

I will find out the best times for you to workout which fit in with your life and we will start the ball rolling. Experience tells me that it takes time to weave changes into your life.

It’s a journey of patience and trust.

Typically, your cardiovascular fitness will improve the quickest. Flexibility is next closely followed by core strength and muscular strength.

Regardless of your age, gender and ability, you will eventually push, pull and squat your own body weight and more. This, I believe, is a basic human requirement.

I recall a long-term client David who first came to me years ago wanting to drop 25kgs. It was clear his metabolism needed firing up. However, I had to be cautious not to push too much too soon as his body wasn’t used to it.

He complained after two months that ‘nothing was happening’.

I told him to trust the process.

The next four months saw outstanding results.

He lost his 25kgs and more.

The best moment was when David, a man who had been deeply self-conscious of his body all his life, walked into his health club wearing a vest and shorts.

It was a wonderful moment because I knew in that second that not just his physique had been transformed, his confidence had too and in turn, his life.
